1 SMALL STEP FOR MAN,

4 STEPS TO GOD

Dear Scott,

At what point did Jesus accept himself into his own heart, thereby receiving salvation?

Sincerely,

Brian

Dear Brian,

Hi, my name is Scott and I wanted to thank you for visiting our 4stepstogod.com web site.

I appreciate your desire to investigate Christianity and the claims of Christ. This is definitely not a decision to be taken lightly and if there is anything I can help you with on your spiritual journey, please let me know.

My hope and prayer for you is that you will experience God's peace and plan for your life.

In your spiritual search for significance, consider asking God this prayer: God, I don't fully understand Your character or how to relate to You. Will You please reveal Yourself to me, so I can discover and experience who You are and the eternal security You alone offer??

Christianity, unlike all other religions, is developing a relationship with God through His Son, Jesus Christ. In order to have a relationship with God, you need to understand four principles that govern your relationship with God. Go to http://www.godlovestheworld.com/ to learn more.

Here are a couple of web sites that do an excellent job of describing Christianity and the claims of Christ...

- www.JesusFactOrFiction.com is a series of excellent multi-media presentations from notable sources exploring the life and claims of Jesus.

- www.WhoIsJesus-Really.com is translated in multiple languages and explains the life of Jesus, the miracles he performed, what others said about Him, how He has influenced the world and what all this means to you.

- Another great resource for you in finding answers to many puzzling spiritual questions is found at http://gotquestions.org/search.html

You asked, "At what point did Jesus accept himself into his own heart, thereby receiving salvation?" Jesus did not need to be saved from God's judgment because He never sinned. Accepting Jesus means that one places His trust in Jesus, and in the work that He did on the cross. When Jesus, an innocent man, died, he served our death sentence in our place, and thereby satisfied God's demand for justice. By accepting what He did on our behalf, we have the opportunity to accept Jesus' death sentence as our own and to be credited with His righteousness. Jesus did not need to be saved. He is the source of our salvation.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Scott

Dear Scott,

I appreciate your response.  However, I am still confused about Christianity. I appreciate the links, though. I can tell you are an earnest man who earnestly believes these links will better clarify my questions. I have many more questions, but I will put my faith in the WWW, and, in particular, Google, as I know that God speaks to use through Google searches.

God knows your heart and is not so concerned with your words as He is with the attitude of your heart and the quality of your browser. The following is my suggested prayer for you, Scott:

"Lord Jesus, I need You. No, really, I mean it this time. Thank You for dying on the cross for my sins, even before I was born. I really appreciate that you did that for me. That was way cool. I open the door of my life and receive You as my Savior and Lord. Thank You for forgiving my sins and giving me eternal life. Eternity is a long time, but I believe there are many amusements and diversions in heaven. Take control of the throne of my life,  the doily of my existence, and the lamp of Your guiding light. Make me the kind of person You want me to be - except for my hair. Please don't mess up my hair."

Does this prayer express the desire of your heart? If it does, I invite you to pray this prayer right now and Christ will come into your life, as He promised.  And, remember, gentle Scott:

Kiss the Son lest he be angry.

Brian
